ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SHRIMATI PRENEET KAUR)
(a) to (e) Pakistan’s hostile propaganda against India continues unabated. It has been repeatedly raising the issue of Jammu and Kashmir at international fora, including at the United Nations. Government’s position is that the entire State of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of the Indian Union and that a part of the territory of the State is under the forcible and illegal occupation of Pakistan. Government will continue to take all necessary steps to protect India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
There is absolutely no scope for a third party role or mediation. Under the Simla Agreement, India and Pakistan have committed to address all issues, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, peacefully through bilateral dialogue.
