Associate Fellow, IDSA, Ms Shruti Pandalai was invited to participate and speak in the India Trilateral Forum, organised in Stockholm, Sweden on September 15-16, 2017. She was a part of the panel ‘Conversation with State Secretary for International and EU Affairs to Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Hans Dahlgren’. The other panelists included Dr Sumit Ganguly, Tagore Professor, Indiana University; and Joshua T. White, Associate Professor, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. The forum was organised by the German Marshal Fund of the United States, The Observer Research Foundation and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sweden. Discussion topics included the global impact of China’s Belt and Road, the ongoing conflicts in Afghanistan and West Asia, the future of Europe and its implications for its global partners and the durability of the China-Russia geopolitical axis, to name a few.
Organized twice a year, the Forum bring together policymakers, intellectuals, journalists, and business leaders from India, the United States, and Europe for a conversation on shared political, social, and economic objectives.
