Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) whether Chinese authorities have given a statement recognising PoK as part of Kashmir;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has protested against this move of China;

(d) if so, the outcome thereof; and

(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SMT. PRENEET KAUR)

(a) to (e) China regards Kashmir as a bilateral matter to be settled between India and Pakistan. Government has clearly conveyed to the Chinese side, India’s consistent position that Pakistan has been in illegal occupation of parts of the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir since 1947.
